Hey everyone, I have had a look and I don’t see anyone with an uncompressed pull of the 35mm Dolby SR track from T2 theatrical. I’ve seen some torrents with what looks like the track but they are usually compressed and only about 600mb in size which is not enough. By my estimations the uncompressed track should be around 1.6gb-2.3gb in size.

Anyone have a lead on this?

Was reading on IMDB that the Japanese version of the film differs in a few places compared to the theatrical cut (and presumably the director's cut)

(have posted in a spoiler below since a couple of them could be racially sensitive so didn't want to offend anyone)

A speech by Evelyn (Kate Beckinsale) which tells how America helped win the war despite the attack at Pearl Harbor has been altered for Japanese and German releases, with the word "us" changed to "America's"

the December 7th date was changed to December 8th due to the time zone difference in Japan;

the words "Jap Suckers" changed to "Japs";

Colonel James Doolittle's (Alec Baldwin) line "Kill as many of those bastards as possible" was changed to "I myself would choose a tasty target";

a scene showing Japanese women in traditional kimonos and carrying parasols during Doolittle's Raid on Tokyo was omitted.

So i managed to pick up the Japanese 2 disc DVD to check it out as i assumed these changes wouldn't transition to the DVD releases

skipped to the scene where they changed the date on the calendar and compared it to the D+ stream and there it was! The Japanese version showed it changing from the 7th to the 8th due to the time zone difference of the attack.

Hey, guys.
Was there ever a good Blu-ray in some country that retains the original 35mm colors, unlike the US botched remaster as per usual when it comes to Mann's involvement? I remember a 720p open matte HDTV that I had some years ago, but I don't think I still have it. Is there a 1080p, whether from HDTV or some streaming platform that still has the pre-remaster colors that are very much like the print I saw circa 2014-2015 in a Mann's retrospective, whenever "Blackhat" was released?

Wong Kar Wai - Japanese Trailers

So lately I've got Wong Kar Wai on the brain, and I randomly stumbled on an odd little rabbit–hole that has been sort of nagging at me since I've discovered this, but I noticed that on YouTube you can find a handful of Japanese WKW trailers, and the thing that struck me the most about them was that they looked very much akin to what I would expect from a print?

I'm embedding all three down below (Days Of Being Wild, Chungking Express & Fallen Angels in that order). Unfortunately from what I can tell though, they seem to not really be playable on the site here, so you'll have to jump to some other tab to check them out.

Anyways, given I know that the color situation for WKW's works have always been a mess to keep straight, I thought I'd drop these here if anyone's remotely interested in attempting some sort of oddball blanket regrade to any other existing UHDs out there.

That said, I imagine you'd have to track down the original encodes of these trailers to get anything workable out of them from something like Dr. Dre's color matcher. I don't suppose any WKW fan would know where these trailers were included, do they?
