I have just registered here and i get following message while trying to write messages

For some reason, I was unable to log back into my account, onlysleeping23 and my attempts to change my password were unsuccessful, none of the random new passwords generated for me seem to be working. I don’t have privileges to do much on this new account, so any admin help is greatly appreciated!

There doesn't seem to be a specific rule about re-sharing projects and I often see requests popping up for them, either because they're no longer available from the original creator or are hosted on hard to join sites, so I thought I'd ask what the general etiquette was in these cases.

I think it would be great to have a project list section on the site, where members can list all the projects they have done so far and have links to each of them. From what I can see the only way to do this currently is to have an external site and put a link to it in your signature?

small bug that I should make you aware of

using google chrome on my android device and whenever I press last post to see the final page of the thread i'm reading (this is either form the forum index or the thread itself), it only goes to halfway through the thread an di have to keep pressing last post to forward through the pages

Suggestion: Automatically add image sizes to image tags

When you load a forum page that has a lot of image posts on it, the site will jump all over the place while the images load, and you don't end up at the post you actually clicked on.

My suggestion: Make the website automatically fetch the dimensions of each image in a post and automatically add them to the generated tags so that the images will occupy their full size even before they are loaded.

This could be done via Javascript when the image is inserted in the editor or server-side once a post is sent. Would only have to be once for every image too.

It's not a huge issue, but a bit of an annoyance.

Preview problem & Vimeo Embeds

since the site moved to the new server I've been running into these bugs:

If I try to insert a video from Vimeo, the BBCode that gets inserted misspells "Vimeo" (I think it appears as "Vemio" or something similar, clearly just a typo) but obviously it doesn't work. No big deal, I just edit it to correct the spelling and then it works, but it's should be a bug that is very easy to fix

Secondly, and I don't know if this is a related issue or a separate one, but when I go to preview my post (usually with videos and images in it), the initial preview works as it should. However, if I make edits and click preview again, all my text disappears from the edit text box. If I click post, it still posts correctly, but I can't edit it at all after that without posting first and then clicking Edit again.

I'm using the Chrome on Windows 10.

(solved) Auto-Embed for Imgur albums broken

It's been awhile since I've been on here; It looks like a recent update now automatically embeds certain supported media links.
Unfortunately it doesn't seems to work with Imgur albums, and has broken every link to galleries that I have posted:

(I think the gallery that embeds is auto-selected by Imgur for broken links)

Also, even if you can get this working, I think it should be possible to disable per link. Right now it adds a bunch of vertical space that I wanted to avoid by linking to an external site:

If possible, I also think it shouldn't retroactively apply to old posts for the same reason (and to hopefully avoid any broken link situation in the future).
Viewing the site in the latest version of Firefox. Get the same bug in Chrome. Thanks as always for running things around here!

I know one can make out you're an old timer by the numbers of post & thanks.

But those newbies avatars you still have visually send the info that you're a newbie.

How about spending some time to personalize your Avatar?

I mean we're all unique. By default avatars make you look anonymous and a newbie.

Just sayin'.

Somehow the films on ebay thread (the AMPS one) never appears for me in the "View Unread Posts", even when there is an unread post in it. But I always get the email notification.

I presume that a lot of the community here keep these amazing restorations on hard drives which is easier to stream.

I'm in the process of building of a media server (slow process due to funds sadly) but thanks to a friend or two, I do manage to get some of these projects burnt on disc.

but to be honest, some of these efforts are so good that I feel that they deserve a place in my movie collection. having it in a case with some custom artwork makes it a bit more special.

So I was thinking it would perhaps be a good idea to have a section dedicated to artwork for such releases or custom artwork in general and some tips on printing. It might even bring some photoshop talent to the boards as well with the same interests in preserving film in the form of original posters etc

Hi there. I'm a brand new member with no posts, so I'm assuming this is why I can't PM; Some kind of anti-spam measure or similar. I joined because I found a thread on this forum wherein a member mentioned having a workprint of The Football Factory which is something of a white whale for me, and he said to anyone wanting a link to PM him. I can't find any information about who can and cannot PM, so I was hoping someone could enlighten me.
