I have just received a totally rad Blu-ray in the mail today... THE WARRIORS German Mediabook! Limited to 1000 copies and it's the original Theatrical version. I looked at it and to my findings the only issue I see with it is it does have the blown out spotlight scene but that could easily be patched. I even have another source in HD for that. Now my question is... anyone interested in making the "Be All-End All" Warriors Blu-ray once and for all???

I am interested.
PM'd you.
Holy crap! Is that a legit release? There seem to be a lot dodgy releases in Europe. And does it have the original mono?
Oh yes make it happen. Can take care of syncing foreign dubs!
This is indeed a legit release by an outfit called 84 Entertainment. It is region B locked (as opposed to being region free if it were a bootleg or typical Paramount release) and is licensed from Paramount, as their logo is clearly seen on the back cover image. It is said to have the original English mono (DTS_MA) in addition to the 5.1 remix (also in lossless compared to the shitty DC BD) and the German theatrical dub.

Apparently, it uses the same HD transfer of the theatrical cut as the Paramount DVD, and the real reason it uses that version is because the German dub only exists for the former and not the Directors Cut version with those tacky inserts.
Guys, I am willing to make this available to anyone interested in helping with the work! Just let me know. And Yes this is a 100% legit release.

Where did you hear it was the orignal mono? I just assumed it was the 5.1 remix downmixed to 2.0. That is indeed great if it is a lossless original mono mix. The original doesn't exist lossless elsewhere if I recall right.
Someone on BD.com said it was the same English mono as the R1 Paramount DVD, which I heard was the original and not a downmix (Paramount isn't known for doing that unlike say MGM). Being the 84 BD uses the same master as R1 TC DVD but in native HD, good chance the English audio tracks are all the same as the R1 DVD master but with lossless encoding.

Well see I have my doubts about it being the R1 DVD master because the spotlight scene is ok on the DVD where it is overblown on this BD. Just like the director's cut one. The audio may be original tho. I just don't know what was changed in the remix to compare it with.
