@mustarda99, there's nothing to be tutored about open matte. It's not like any cinemascope film can suddenly reveal what's behind the black bars. The scope film must have been shot on Super-35mm to begin with. Meaning it can existe for The Abyss or Seven, but not for Speed or Die Hard, for instance.
