I guess my question would be why use two LDs for the Cantonese mono and why have both the digital and analog tracks?
They are quite different, both Laserdiscs and analog/digital tracks. With all the size of BD50, I think we can afford to have all of them on disc even for preservation purposes

And I still need to kinda sit down on my headphones and see which one sounds the best, but from what I remember it's the one I already synchronized in my ADC custom (Herald LD). But I didn't check out in depth tracks from HK Laserdisc that I've been provided lately, but it does seem to have lots of background analog noise to it (most likely because the print itself was sourced from hard matted cinema print and is quite scratched).
