ARQ (2016)
#1
Never heard before, this little Nexflix sci-fi movie surprised me; almost no special effects, few actors, story not entirely original - read: there were at least two movies and a TV series based on the central idea (can't say more, won't spoiler it); incredibly low budget has no impact on the story itself: quite fast pacing, interesting actors, good dialogs and not so much music, just enough...

Every sci-fi fan - who can stand to watch a movie without space ships or laser sabers - will like it!

Have you been watching the Westworld TV series?

Nope, but I remember the movie... I watched it when I was a kid, and I distinctly remember Yul Brinner's robotic character without a face...

Speaking of Westworld film, there's an Italian Blu Ray with Italian mono 1.0 (but also German, French and Spanish) which is a guarantee of the original 70's mix, it's Dolby Digital so I hope it's something better than 192kbps. Whenever it goes cheap I'll probably get it. English is DTS-HD, doesn't say how many channels on Amazon. I adore that film.

Arq was surprisingly good. It's easy to bore people with a plot about time being reset every so many hours and re-living the same day in a loop, but they did it so well, changing something every day so it never felt boring

I preserve movies as they first appeared in Italy.
