If and when you make menus for your releases, what stuff do you consider in the design process? For example, for my Computer Chronicles 35th Anniversary project I'm planning on incorporating elements from all known Season 1 episodes and making it an animated menu, which I will, of course, do at a framerate of 120 FPS for easy downconversion as necessary. I know I'm planning on starting the menu animation sequence with the HP 150, the first touchscreen personal computer, zooming in against a black screen. However, I'm still trying to figure out what comes next.

What software are you using?
Id advise making a static menu first, and position your buttons ect.
Then cut your animated menu footage with the menu you have created overlayed. This can help you select shot's that correspond with your menu lay out.

I don't understand the 120 fps part? What frame rate is Computer Chronicles in?

Ive never edited using a touch screen! Let us know how that goes.

It'll be 60p for the Blu-ray and 30i for the DVD. 120 easily divides to both, and also to 24 if neither 60 nor 30 will fit the specs for the menu. And I never said I was editing using a touchscreen. I only said I was including a touchscreen computer as an element in my animation (the computer I'll be doing the actual animation on is not a touchscreen computer, by the way). Either way, some landmarks will be included in the animation, and a Blender-made rendition of the HP 150 I plan to be among them.

Anyway, for the actual animation itself, like I said earlier, I'm using Blender; for the Blu-ray, I'll use Blu-Disc Studio Lite; and for the DVD, I'm still trying to figure that part out.
