It does, its not the original mix so it needs that.

Forgive me for going off topic for a moment, but... We've started using this technique with reel change markers too. There is now a .sup file for 4K83 to allow people who like seeing the reel change markers to turn them back on.

I've read on foruns elsewhere that the DTHD track on the CE is a very problematic track (I don't really remember why, but I'll try to find out). Anyway, it's a 5.1-EX track, so I don't really think it's the 70mm mix.

Based on PDB information and from what I gathered later, I do believe the LD is indeed the best source for the 70mm mix. Maybe the original DVD ports over that track, but I'm not sure.
I believe it's this one: https://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/21964/LV-1692-WS/Top-Gun or https://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/25690/PILF-2284/Top-Gun
EDIT: BTW if you want to know the delay for the 2008 BD audio to the remastered blu-ray and maybe UHD disc it's around 4700-4800 ms.
After a few trys, the delay for the 2006 dvd audio (even though it's the Full Screen Version) to the remastered blu-ray is 1800 ms. EDIT BTW It's the R1 version, IDK about PAL versions.

Is it only me, or the UHD resolution is just a small improvement over remastered BD?

Sure, 3D BD instead has bigger frame size!
