Hello All!
#1
Big Grin
Hello guys! I'm Mersh, or Scott... Whichever is better for you. I've been tinkering with editing things for probably close to 20 years now, but haven't been a part of a forum like this before. I was a member of MySpleen for about 17 years or so, but found my account access deleted last time I tried to log in. After 4 months from the last login to then, all those years of projects, 2.72 TB worth of uploads and a 2:1 share ratio are gone... I'd LOVE to find out why it was deleted, inactivity seems to not be the case, since I've gone several years between logins before and not had problems. I'd Love to find my way back there somehow. Anyway...

I started out simply syncing the Isolated Scores that were on DVD releases (but for some reason missing from Blu-ray Releases) to Blu-ray rips, I'd find online (the Dark Crystal, Leon: the Professional, Starship Troopers, etc...). Also, I did some editing on Pokemon Films 1,2,3 & 5... (Couldn't do #4, They were different cuts of the film) Taking the English audio tracks from North American Releases, and Syncing them to the Japanese Blu-ray disc images I found. These wound up looking and sounding GREAT! especially with the work I did on the 5th film. I'll make a post about that sometime, It's my most involved and the project I'm the most proud of!

I also Synced and uploaded audio only Commentary tracks made by a fellow spleener, UncleJerk, to rips of their respective films (with his permission), and chatted with him from time to time.

While moving about 2 years back, several of my HDD's were damaged, resulting in me losing about 90% of the files I had downloaded over the years. With alot of work, I was able to reclaim a lot of it, but the most important things were thought to be lost to time... with both my Primary AND Back-Up HDD's failing, and no way to try and re-download them, the files I made were gone... until about 2 weeks ago! Following some tips I found online, I swapped out some drive parts and was able to get one of the drives to work! Having back the files I though were gone forever for 2 yrs. now was an amazing feeling! After quickly copying the files before the drive had a chance to fail again, I felt renewed. I've started getting back into the swing of things and acquired new programs to start doing projects again.

I came here recently while trying to track down a fan made / preserved superior copy (to the Japanese LaserDisc I bought several years ago, for it was in 2:35 Widescreen) of the Theatrical Cut of "Highlander II: The Quickening"... Unfortunately to find that someone doing that EXACT project recently stopped sharing his work. :-(

anywhoo... here I am. I plan on explaining more on the projects I've done, and hopefully sharing them with people if they are interested in them.

Mersh
