Those flirty slavic girls want to shower you with ooomph too, lol.

@Valeyard - Actually the Monty Python finger is "silly".
Something more like this probably is better -- https://s31.postimg.cc/oxokac863/Fan_Res_logo.gif ... I just grabbed the demo pix and mashed them down into a few frames with various lightness & repeats & timings. I expect you have the source artwork to recreate something at higher quality. I still like the idea of the original size for the main page and the smaller (non-animated) size for every other page. But, go with your best design.

@Jetrell Fo: *pfff * Copy that. *pfff * https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTNWSJ2NKy4 See? PacMan works!
@Valeyard - Cool! Monty Python tapping next?
Really wasn't expecting that, but an animated .GIF file set to a run-once, with suitable pauses (to allow a user to see the setup), might complete the coolness.

My Stylish installation must be F'd up. I even tried to install it directly from within the plugin, still doesn't do anything.

@BronzeTitan - bulb off as requested: https://i.imgur.com/1Zh9xR1.png I haven't changed the size of the logo at all, it's just scaled down by CSS, and converted to a transparant background logo.
LOL ... Who says the Shoutbox is not fun? (Can someone make it a FPS with mouse controller? Again, not volunteering.
)
)"pfff" Copy that. "pfff" "pfff" Got eyes in the sky and boots on the ground. Tower is a null worry, over. "pfff"
@Jetrell Fo: *pfff * Negative that. Repeat, negative. *pfff * ... *pfff * Videogame are good for the psyche. *pfff * ... *pfff * Watch that sniper fire from the tower! *pfff * ... *pfff * Do you copy? *pfff *

BTW, nice logo fit into the background(s). The big one looks good as the Main Entrance logo, but the smaller ones are nice for all the rest of the "sub-pages". Adjust the main logo to match, and I'd give that a double-thumbs-up!
How about a motion logo? A .SWF player. With the bulb off and a Monty Python finger that comes down and taps it on the top and it springs to light! And it lights up the 3-dimensional title letters! And music! Something cool! Some inspirational! With a repeat button ... for infinitely playing music! Not that I'm volunteering ...

I just updated it with some improvements (namely I tweaked the logo graphic). I just tested it in both Chrome and FireFox. Maybe you installed the theme but the Stylish extension is disabled?
@Valeyard Good idea. Sadly I can't install it for some reason. When I click Install it says "Installed", but when I reload it offers the Install button again and this site still looks normal

Pac Man Syndrome should probably be on the list too. Video games rot the brain ... maybe even make you go blind due to joystick addiction, lol.

We could use a "bad words" list that members could vote on to add (or remove if future votes cause it's total to drop below 50%). Frankly, I'd vote-out "corrosion" ... (shudder) ...
I'm calling Dumbledore in on this one. Maybe he can create a list of places that should never be mentioned due to a selective lack of humor on their parts?
Why did my post get removed? I didn't say anything wrong about anything. It reminds me of a place that apparently can no longer be mentioned by only some of us I guess.

Okay, okay ... such touchy people! I've been ordered to the front of the class & they won't let me write those naughty words even in my punishment ... https://s31.postimg.cc/69jc1l8cr/Bronze_...gy.com.jpg
@poita - Should we just skip UHD and, instead, invest in the next GREAT format (downward compatible, of course)? Otherwise I'll have to over-book museum gigs just to pay the bills!

So ... we are STILL acting like CRUMBS to the OT-agent PACMEN? -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n_zloZwesk
I still have just few UHD BDs, and I assume, with price at the moment I will just buy some newer movies in 4K, if the movie seems interesting enough to pay about 75 to 150 percent more, compared to the BD...
Some 4K BD's are better. A Few Good Men and the first 2 Harry Potter films look better than the BD.
My problem with Braveheart is not the color depth, but the face paint of William Wallace...
There are some horrendous UHD releases, not many but some. Dredd, 3:10 to Yuma, Oblivion, all worse than the Bluray Edition.
When they are converted to 8bit, they usually look like the regular BD version with less clipped whites and some slight colour differences.
Be careful when looking at UHD caps. They never look right on a PC screen, and often look a lot better on a properly setup HDR UHD TV
Gladiator looks good mind http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?a=1&x=525&...0&i=9&go=1
I have not seen a single UHD title but from screen caps I am not sold at all they look quite washed out. http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?a=1&x=466&...&i=10&go=1
holy s... I think I will pass on the Braveheart UHD BD: http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?a=1&x=388&...0&i=6&go=1 check out the facepaint... O.O
On the darker side of entertainment, "the Superman curse" https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/supe...o-12387108 has struck again http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/201...at-69.html
So the Die Hard 4K BD has a stereo mix in DTS-HD, but it appears to be a fold down of the 5.1, so the LD audio is still preferable. Image looks pretty good though, a definite upgrade from the old BD.
@Valeyard - Awww ... you should've warned about the spoilers! I didn't know about the evil green-screens.

Someone finally fixed Jurassic World! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZpKtyLBCc0
I'd really change my name if opening this business: http://stancrappfunerals.com.au
in google search I keep putting Famres and getting "Farmers" results silly but It happened a few times now

Laserdiscs the size of Tractor wheels with UHD and Audio that will blow your ear drums
But they must be better. No super8 film-fade (from that famous film company ... doh!) and perfect-read laserdisc electronics that doesn't cost $$$,$$$ !!Seriously though, they really need to take a cue from the gun industry and make it savage-sexy (like the AR-15, a common rifle tricked-out to look wicked). Hey Kodak! Try something like this: http://collectiblend.com/Cameras/images/...-Super.jpg
Nice find, SW! ANALOG IS THE FUTURE (we should've known better)! In related news, George Lucas, ever the innovator, will film his next Star Wars movie in Super8! "This will give use even more resolution," he said to our reporter. "It will easily upstage our digital movies." - Fakenews Networks.
Great read, I'm excited about this Super 8 resurgence, thanks for sharing SW.
Could not be surrounded by any better people than those I work alongside here.
That is what is awesome about this place. People with like minds and passion coming together to make things happen.
Forgot to mention, but, if they join, the project makers can also get particular help (allot of members here are full of ideas & suggestions) and even pool together as a group effort in their common interests. Very helpful.
thanks BT, Sporv replied via PM as well, maybe they join and like what they find, from the normal set of encoders/rippers/muxers they both take things about as far as it can go short of doing what happens here
All else aside, FanRes is an "open forum" and anyone can join at any time. Just click the above "Register" (which is shown when you're not signed-in) to join. "Join" allows one to post (including in this Shoutbox). But FanRes is a resource even for those who don't join, they just can't add to the sum of knowledge here. They still can "lurk" to see what others are doing, if they want (of course). Even then, FanRes fulfills a function of spreading the love of preservation and creativity -- a win/win for everybody!

but what they do, is 1 step below what is happening here, so if they want to learn something new, maybe this is the place for them
in the sense that there is zero guarantee anyone that joins will participate, none whatsoever, it is
I wasn't making a point, just an observation, based on my experience here. Projects worked on here don't magically appear as you well know and It is exactly why some areas of the forum are only open to those who participate. Definitely nothing moot about that.
I don't speak for them, they are their own people, but they are 2 of the names that stick out in private tracker world because they go beyond what most other users do in terms of their releases. That makes me think they may be a good fit, but am I certain, of course not
considering there is no guarantee anyone that joins will participate in the site after joining that is a moot point, all that is is closed doors as without your prerequisite guarantee, nobody could join
I think it would genuinely depend on wether they are actually interested in participating in the site as members or just the software being created from scratch/updated/used by folks for projects? I do not speak for admin on this, just my experience as a project maker here.
sporv, I see you have been replying on forum, any answer to this would be appreciated, have a few people that I think would be very interested in that software you dudes are using
don't know if anyone is here right now, but is there a specific process regarding inviting people here, is it closed, open?
I hang with Quigon on most occassioins nowadays, the Emperor Palpatine's New Clothes were never impressive, he's just an attention whore anyways. LOL!!!
All the Emperors hang around ... The Senate. (Thanks for that give-away, GL!)

I didn't even know until yesterday that he has ties to Twitter, the Emperor that is, lol.
The darkside banished OT to a Twitter page, I hope they at least got store bought cookies, lol.
I'm glad to see the site isn't locked anymore. I know I said sorry for using the "s" word twice in a post but I don't think I'm to blame for this ... then again, worse has been said about me for far less. LOL
The mere humans always try to put the "fear of the gods" in everyone, but we TITANS just Arnold-laugh! <-- "Hercules In New York" reference

Ve-e-ery interesting that our dear PostImage's website is suddenly attacked ... AFTER ... we started discussing OT's format. (Did anyone else notice they (OT) have the "Death Star" as their logo?
