Seems funny, seeing as he was the one who could always provoke other users without getting the mods interfered.

It's a temp ban, appearenly the guy flies off the handles anytime someone uses the word "retard". Sad.
So after all those years a certain member at OT got finally banned. But I do not know what is more worse: that it took so long, or that people go mad about the decision and defend him...
"Merry Christmas from the American Bar Association (restrictions apply)" @16m53s https://omnystudio.com/d/clips/dae91041-.../audio.mp3
Guardians of the Galaxy 3D occasionally made the black bars thicker so things could appear to leave the frame. So did Life of Pi, I think
spoRV, on the off chance you know, back in the days of blurg there was a fanres dude, cant remember which, that had a thread trying to fund raise for a 35mm print of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, do you know if anything ever happened with that?
(cue Darth Vader theme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRRtOJqB8PU) "Search your feelings. You know it to be true." -- Mark Hamill (AKA Luke Skywalker) crosses light-sabres (AKA Twitter) with Ted Cruz (AKA U.S. senator), loses his (typing) hand, and discovers he IS his father's son -- @ 35m52s of https://omnystudio.com/d/clips/dae91041-.../audio.mp3
I'm presently working on preparing materials for my 16mm black-and-white restoration of Reservoir Dogs. Obviously, a 16mm grainplate will be used this time around.
I was actually mocking Bronzie's question about what a "movie theater" was.
^ ^ Awesome find! Loved the scene creations. So why didn't they match the look (balanced the lighting) more exact?
@ FrankT - DrDre was working on an super-resolution-algorithm upscaler & tested it on Star Wars (laserdisc).
^ ^ ... better than a Utopian dictator hellscape (communist China was the last attempt -- they executed 80,000,000 of their own in peace time) ... just sayin'
The FCC just voted to repeal Net Neutrality on the same day Disney announced they're aquiring Fox. Dystopian capitalist hellscape, anyone?
Regarding movie critics: https://www.thoughtco.com/sony-fake-film...ry-4062655 - it's not the article I remember reading a while back but still quite telling
@FrankT Have you tried SuperRes in AviSynthShader? https://github.com/mysteryx93/AviSynthShader
@SpaceBlackKnight: I actually made it. I've also recreated the animation in 4K
But if you hated TFA, you'll probably hate TLJ as well. Maybe not as much though.
@Valeyard: Well, things that were pretty bad in TFA are worst in this one but the cool things are also better by far. I still don't have a solid opinion on that film. The first half was pretty boring and pretty bad sometimes then the second half was very good. Overall, not a bad experience.
Only because 90% of professional film critics are complete pay for play hacks who only care about the fact that they get to watch movies all day long as a job. There was a time when Disney had creative integrity and strived to produce good films, now it's all run by the bean counters.
(Seeing Last Jedi today) Because Abrams made a film that was incredibly successful with critics and viewers, he was the safe choice.
Why is the hack given Episode IX though? That's what worries me. And the guy they fired, Trevorrow, was hardly a great first choice...
Haven't seen it, but I'd wager it's likely somewhat different than TFA given who wrote and directed it (i.e. not a hack like Abrams)
@ilovewaterslides Would you say that for people who HATED The Force Awakens it's worth seeing? Or was it just as bad?
Ilovewaterslides, where did you get that CIC logo on your avatar from?
Hi everyone, i'm new to Fanres though I know some of u guys from OriginalTrilogy
Mods, please remove links in Tom's last post in Warriors of Virtue thread, in progress, complete projects
Also, at the moment I have a bigger problem: The battery of my car seems defect... Standing 2 days: no more starting the engine...
Yeah, but I have to use time, to send it back... including wrapping it up, and going to a postal office to ship it internationally.. with driving there.. and time to wait.. then writing (polite Mails) that the item is not as specifizied... I think it will consume about 1 -2 hours...
If the seller sends you something different to that shown in the listing, then it's 'Not as described' and you're entitled to a full refund, including postage.
zoidberg: I think the procedure of sending it back and trying to reclaim my money and such is more time consuming than the money would compensate...
Damn French... Depicting the old 2 Disc BD Version at eBay... And sending the skynet release...
Let's hope he didn't compulsively edit it like he did all his other early films...
Double bill 9pm on the 13th! Can’t wait. But I’m slightly worried I can’t look at Daisy Ridley since I met her and made an ass of myself hahah
Going on the 13th here. Got my seat reserved and a restaurant planned with my friend. Nice day in perspective
I'm going on the 14th, Israel also gets to see it from the 13th, but I gotta work...
I wanted to do the double feature but I get more benefit from my Marcus card for the $5 Tuesdays.
I've got Double Feature tix for an advance screening this Thursday in Dolby Cinema. Get to see TFA and TLJ back to back in my favorite format!
I've got tickets for my daughter and I for the 19th. Marcus Theaters here has a $5 Tuesday. We get a free popcorn each. All I have to buy is the soda. Very sweet deal and great time spent with my daughter.

Would take a comparison to see whether it's OM or cropped, or someone who saw it in cinema and remembers.
I know that at least my TV doesn't meet the requirements... But I plan on changing that next year... As long as the HD Fury box is still available then...
Well if you're going to play UHD discs without DeUHD, you're going to need to run the cyberlink tool that analyzes your system and reports if you're computer meets the requirements or not
I need an external drive... They are about 70 Euro... But from out companies... I never heard off... Pioneer external USB slim BDXL Rom starts with 100 Euro...
Also, somehow I don't trust deUHD and additionally, it is announced to work with some titles.. Not all of them...
it was cheaper to buy an UHD drive in japan with paying duties ans shipping, than buying one in germany...
But I won't go for DVDFab.. I don't like the "ALL-IN-ONE" Solutions.. I love Handbrake to convert Video... and eac3to to slice BD and DVD up into fine parts...
DVDFab Passkey was given away for free and is enough to simply rip and playback DVD/Blurays
