I think you'll manage without the sickbag. So the Japanese blu is region free?
avatar
It has no sick bag... The German one will have.. But unknown release date...
avatar
The Japanese unrated Evil Dead (2013) is German friendly... Big Grin
avatar
Let us know what you think of the sickbag Smile
avatar
Whew! Evil Dead (2013) unrated japanese BD was delivered today... Waiting at my neighbor for me to be fetched...
avatar
Very cool
avatar
Aliens teaser trailer on 35mm! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaUXuY3U4Ag LOVE IT!
avatar
One other thing regarding the Constantin logo: do make sure the source's bitrate is at least 5.2 Mbps, to ensure the best possible quality.
avatar
Another logo I'm looking for for my Dollars Trilogy restoration, for the German versions of each film, is the Constantin Film bringt Sunburst logo. I'll take what I can get, but in this case 1080p and Scope would be quite preferable.
avatar
Regarding the Castilian Spanish track for Fistful, which DVD should I get? The one from Impulso/Video Mercury, or the one from Warner Bros.? (For those wondering, I'm aiming for the original mono track, again.)
avatar
Hell, yeah! Evil Dead (2013) extended Japan BluRay should arrive upcoming Monday. I am thrilled!
avatar
I guess I should have scrolled up
avatar
That's who I was talking to, actually. XP
avatar
Stamper
avatar
His handle, that is. If he's a user here.
avatar
Ah, Stamper! Is he a user here? And what's his name?
avatar
No I cannot change, because it is not my choice... At least the stationary Internet provider is not my choice...
avatar
Mr Brown, you can change provider without changing your phone.
avatar
On my blu there are no subs.
avatar
BTW anyone has copies of Robocop on Blu? I'm looking for subtitles, in any language, mostly english or french, for the trailer with the music from Terminator. Anyone can help?
avatar
Iknow someone who has the tape, he already did a preserv, however he used the blu-ray track for most of the disc, he just patched it wherever there was a need with the vhs. I think the mix are the same?
avatar
Well, whoever happens to have a French-dubbed Fistful of Dollars cassette, please feel free to leave me a PM.
avatar
Sorry, I don't.
avatar
Does anyone have a French-dubbed cassette of the film? Because I couldn't find any on eBay.
avatar
Fortunately, there appears to have been a VHS cassette released around the '90s with the French track.
avatar
Finding a decent French track for Fistful is going to be very difficult due to rights issues which generally kept it off the market until 2010, meaning the only DVD and Blu-ray releases I know of to have it were remixed.
avatar
I also tend to use my phone, until it break, not changing every odd year...
avatar
I buy my cellphones independent from any telecommunication company. So I get the phone I want.
avatar
Excellent. A combo of Internet Service at 1gbDL speed + box that record programs in hd (you just hit rec on the selection of forthcoming films and everything is done auto) + phone cell can be as low as 35 bucks a month. It's good to scour the offers and switch, especially on cellphones price.
avatar
I have neither Cable TV, nor the recording devices... Sad Also Amazon prime sometimes seem to get other masters, compared to DVD/BD release... I.e. Deadpool on Amazon Video has localized Starting credits in Germany.
avatar
So record your faves on TV just to check if the masters are the same as DVD/HD, or not!
avatar
Also, I wanted to say to european fellow forumers, CableTV is fantastic to still find copies of films with localised titles, that existed for example on VHS, but stopped being available after DVD globalisation of masters.
avatar
So, you might be faster than me... I would need until the weekend.
avatar
I also have the french TF1 T1 DVD ripped, it includes the english and french original mono tracks. I don't have the disc, but an mp4 file for the video + the two audio tracks ripped straight. Anyone interested? You can use the video file to resync both. They are worth preservations.
avatar
Yes I can rip the Image T1 in an hour. Do you want me to put it up somewhere?
avatar
Yeah! My japanese Evil Dead (2013) extended BD has been shipped tonight!
avatar
Never saw a trailer switching between framing.. Smile and.. the Terminator 2 Judgement Day and the T2.. just seem to be a bit out of place in the Trailer.. Smile as if the intended Framing was not in the middle of the Frame.. but a bit more at the top alligned...
avatar
If there are still frames with artifacts, we can handle them indivdually. It is possible to chain multiple calls to TFM(). Your script does a really good job though.
avatar
AnctuFaalb, the German DVD of T1 is phase shifted. Mpeg2Source().TFM()
avatar
I just got a german Terminator 2 Trailer on a DVD.. that is quite.. not the trailer I saw somewhere else: German Audio, different from the Movie Dubbing.. and variable framing... sometimes about 1.66:1 and sometimes more the normal widescreen framing... but not centered...
avatar
Waiting for the fiber, the new company cut my old line... so, for few days, I should rely only on my phone. Eek
avatar
Interested to hear this 2.1 mix
avatar
let me know
avatar
If you can provide the rip, video and all, I can do the sync
avatar
Mhm.. okay... MediaInfo states a 3 channel audio on that disc... phew... thought I had to search for that DVD again.. this time with the unknown audio Smile Now I can go to work...
avatar
I'd like to sync it to the BD if it's legit
avatar
KK, please let me know if you have it
avatar
Okay, so the DVD profiler listing is also wrong... I think I gonna check my Disc ASAP, maybe there just was a faulty batch, and some are really 1.0
avatar
first listing
avatar
avatar
The audio is stated to be 1.0 mono on the hems Dale / image DVD. Or was there another release?
avatar
Seeing some rainbowing :-)
avatar
BTW, that German DVD Is from a composite source
avatar
The 1997 Image/Hemsdale DVD
avatar
Yeah, I am also still curious which DVD the 2.1 Version is from... Big Grin
avatar
Stamper: Can you upload the 2.1 audio somewhere please?
avatar
Read this on Bluray forum.
avatar
No, there are interviews or quotes online from the editor, who says the film was shot in square open matte, intended for 1.85. The prints were matted at 1.66 though in europe, but nonetheless shown 1.85.
avatar
@anctufaalb: AFAIK all Terminator US LDs in 1.33:1 are P&S
avatar
@ilovewaterslides: the exists proof that there were at least TV airings droning more to top and bottom, compared to the 1.66:1 DVD.
avatar
Wow, that was bugging me
avatar
Now it just looks like normal interlaced footage
avatar
@Koopa: the discussion was started about that DVD.
avatar
MPEG2Source("Z:\Temp\Terminator.d2v").SeparateFields().DeleteFrame(307227).DeleteFrame(0).Weave()
avatar
Take a look at this :-)
avatar
Wow, so there was a field dropped, guys!
avatar
There is a 1.66:1 DVD in Germany, but it's pan and scan.
avatar
So you guys still didn't figure out that Terminator was shot hard matted 1.66:1? Woo
avatar
avatar
Which US LD is open matte?
avatar
damn
avatar
False alarm! Sad just made a comparison with the DVD, and the only open matte part is the initial introduction, while the rest of the movie is simply pan&scan...
avatar
Wow! Can you send a pic?
avatar
The Italian LD has the same image size as this http://fastpic.ru/view/70/2015/1004/7f5f...c.jpg.html - apart few pixels less on the left...
avatar
I'm working on fixing a 2 second glitch in it.
avatar
Oh, BTW, I doubt anyone cares, but I have discrete 5.1 audio for Twins (1988). This has never been released on any home video format.
avatar
Has anyone compared the mono audio from the LD of "The Sting" to the 5.1 track that has shown up on the DVD and BD releases?
avatar
This is epic
avatar
Sorry, it's certainly not in my collection... many US versions and one UK one... plus a Japanese from a friend... Wink
avatar
The German pre-dvd LD, FSK18, slightly censored: http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/36203/5020...inator-The
avatar
I stay away from the shoutbox, and few hours later so many messages?!? Big Grin repost the LD catalog number, *maybe* I have it - should check...
avatar
Which image DVD has 2.1 sound? I only can see 1.0 on the backside...
avatar
I have the image dvd, it's great. The 2.1 sounds awesome
avatar
I think my LD stands between an US and the Japanese LD... But I am not sure...
avatar
Uhm...
avatar
Someone would have to track down that LD.
avatar
According to LDDB.com the german VCL LD of the Terminator is from 1995... The DVD from 1998... So it is possible that they botched the transfer from LD to DVD...
avatar
Or something
avatar
One person posts well lit and scanned images - though low resolution, only 500px wide
avatar
Look at the ones that start with T1
avatar
the T1 ones are film cells I've saved images of from eBay (mostly U.K.)
avatar
avatar
Maybe one of us should buy a copy
avatar
There are copies on eBay, they're cheaper than I'd have assumed
avatar
Yeah, it's in my DVD collection...
avatar
Ah.. Hemdale and Image...
avatar
It think I have it.
avatar
The image DVD?
avatar
nope
avatar
Does anybody have the 1997 DVD? I don't
