Over at OT you could contact Frink. He's a member there and might be able to help sort it for you.

Any fanedit.org user here? I would like to help in a project, but I'm not registered (yet) and, when I tried, the message was "We cannot process your registration because there has already been 2 new registration(s) from your ip address in the past 24 hours. Please try again later." (it wasn't the case)...
I just browsed many forums for you Poita, it looks like one of those films that can only make people argue about how it used to look, how it's supposed to look etc... they all agree that they don't like the new audio mix (not that the video restoration has anything to do with it), the video quality besides the two complains listed before made general audiences happy. If any more feedbacks come to my attention I'll let you know
I go by Amazon reviews as I couldn't go see it at the cinema a few weeks back... I'm reporting what was said about the version scanned and restored by "TLEFilm Restoration & Preservation Services": one user complains about colors being washed out and states that the Anchor Bay DVD from a few years back is still the most valid (although limited to SD quality but contains the original stereo mix), another one noticed the fonts being different and was unhappy about that.

The 4k version that was shown in cinemas here and is now on Blu-Ray was scanned and digitally cleaned up in Germany, so I guess it's a different work altogether (Synapse is American, right?)
(some older fan also complaints that the 5.1 mix of Suspiria is clumsy and relegate the memorable Goblin soundtrack to nothing more than background noise)
The only bad thing with this new Italian restorations is that they work on negatives so they have to re-create the credits digitally and they can't always get the fonts right, sometimes they change text all together. So don't throw away your older DVDs of Italian cinema just yet
Not sure if it's been mentioned but Eagle Pictures in Italy have just released a brand new 4K restored Bluray of Suspiria. BD50 with maxed out bitrate and. DTS-MA 5.1 / LPCM 1.0 mono audio tracks in English and Italian. My copy is on the way https://www.amazon.it/Suspiria-Versione-...s=suspiria

Curious George is great, while Train is in a pretty bad status... have you the less compressed versions?
I just noticed that Fright Night US release in Blu-Ray includes a "soundtrack only" audio track, something that I don't think we have here in Europe. Does anyone have it?
The voltage is probably about right but the wattage would probably drain a button battery in a day or less I'd imagine. I could be totally wrong on this. If I am sign me up for ram HDD's!
Well, a button battery will last for many years - I think five at least, but maybe more... if you add two of them, you could swap one at the time, without losing data... a small price to pay (open your PC every five or more years), I think.
It's volatile. You lose everything when you turn it off. I think the newer m.2/nvme hdd's are getting closer to ram performance though.
Why don't they use DDR RAM instead? Yes, they will be a lot smaller at the same cost, but will last forever, and be a lot faster... a 16/32GB will be perfect for OS purposes!!!
Doh SSD last about 20 years when they are constantly rewritten. They are more reliable than mechanical HDDs
Guys, don't know if you are aware I'm working on an extended edition of the Star Wars saga... well, today adywan agreed to let me use his Revisited edition for my project... he's really a kind guy, and made a great job!

I'm glad I upgraded to quad core last year, it isn't the fastest in the world but it is 'fast enough'.
I just got my first component for my new PC, that I will get start of April... It is the Data Hard Drive, 2TB hybrid SSHD... Now I just need the Computer, Boot Disc, RAM and OS... Well... Step by step...
SSDs are definitely faster but they rarely last for longer than 3 years. New and fragile technology.
FranT, a HDD is a classical storage unit with a disc inside. A SSD is a flash memory unit a bit like an SD card for example.
The worst part is the million digit code to activate Windows on a new PC. Plus all the updates! But it's also a good chance to clear out the chaff. You not tempted to get a SSD?
Thanks, it was really time... now I'm starting to cry, thinking about to setup everything right!

I knew it, I knew it! Even from the remote Italy, you could hear me giggling, laughing, jumping high... horray!
Perhaps I wasn't heard the first time. That is enough. Whatever happened on the OT is not relevant here on Fanres. Take it to another venue.
Politics? No. As John Wesley once put it, "we can agree to disagree". It's about forum rules selectively ignored/created at the whim of the ruler(s). One party shouting-down the other party with impunity is the problem.
I'm glad that so far we have kept politics off Fanres. Let's hope that it stays that way.
Speaking of which ... Silverwook, do you have an email address for the OT administrator? I'm not a member over there but I'd like send a message and there doesn't seem to be any "administator@website.com" contact information like normal websites have (either that, or I missed it).
Thank you, FanRes, for "Shoutbox"! I, and dare I say "we all", appreciate a place to shout out, while not shouting down.
I have edited/deleted all posts I made that are being looked at as bad. Rosey color returned to the shoutbox and I won't be returning to it either. I don't need the extra weight of it on my shoulders. This should fix the issue permanently.
Yes, you were just talking indeed but politics is a sensible subject as everyone knows. Let's not start debates on the chat.
@DoomBot .... you pm me even if it's just to check up on me, how could I not be nice to you? LOL

Thanks Chew, I'll be working on the Alien DC project while I'm away. It needs a release.
Take care, Fo. I hope that you get what you need from your time out and return to complete your projects.
