Nope zoidberg, there's info about the differences in color timing, but none about the sound. I just point to it because I used to own all versions of T2 on laserdisc, and back then, the soundmix of this one just killed all the other official T2 laserdiscs. I think there is both a Dolby Surround track + DD if I'm not mistaken?
Couldn't see a thread specific to this little nugget of info but if anyone is interested, the Italian BD of The Crow has a LPCM 2.0 audio mix of the Dolby Spectral Recording cinema mix by all accounts.
Never heard of the part that there is a LD release with a color timing Cameron was not happy with... Well.. for having Film Versions (8mm i.e.) I would need the playing equipement... Also I have no MUSE Player. So getting such versions would be pointless... (sadly )
I will only believe in the theatrical Version, when I see it... I don't think that the new scan will be such a surprise. And.. if it is the theatrical release.. somone will let someone who love to DNR a movie to death doing the final "master"
So.. today arrived the japanese Squeezed Terminator 2 LD... I would say, aside from the MUSE LD, that is still not part of my Collection, I have almost every interesting LD, DVD, HD-DVD and BD release of that movie...
So... the 4K restoration of ANH that Disney has..... what are the percentage points that it's the un-cluster***** version? (obviously not a surprise but the news broke now)
It apparently has amnesia. I do keep coming and going in the housestead and still it cries...... "who? WHO?" Damn you damned foul owl. It's me! You know me, owl! I bringeth and giveth thy food as thine whims carry!
Anyone checked out the trailer for Blade Runner 2046? All I can say is either Deckard is all human, or the Tyrell Corp. made a long-lasting replicant that creates the physical appearance of aging.
Seems as if sending is fixed... Now when I sent a message here, I have to reload the page manually, while the Shoutbox in the normal version seems to get updated automatically... But that's just a very little issue, I would say... (but maybe a complex thing to fix)
The Movies are: [REC], Friday the 13th Part 3 and Evil Dead (the old one).. additional some french Movie, not mentioned yet, as a "surprise" Movie.. Friday the 13th PArt 3 and Evil Dead where long time banned in Germany, and got recently freed, and allowed, so it is their first showing after several years...
Yike... Friday 13th January in GErmany in Wolfsburg a Cinema is doing a Horror Movie Night.. 4 Movies (digital BD Projection, but still a cool thing) 22 Euro. All Movies in german, maybe one of them is shown in another room in english.. at least part 2 and 3 were done that way...
Today I watched not one, but two movies in the theater, with my daugher: "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" and "Nine Lives"... both nice, perfect movies for 2€ each!
the only bad thing of that boxset (I hear) is that the compression used sucks and defeat the point of a 4K scan. I don't know about the actual 4K but the regular blu ray version was afflicted by a lot of DNR that comes and goes
To answer to spoRv, I'm not sure if Star Wars on tv here was 2004 or 2011, I was watching Predator 2 mostly ahah! (Definitely not any version older than 2004)
'TV' for T2 was meant to be TC for Theatrical Cut. Was the first UK home release containing the uncensored Theatrical Version. Got the BBFC 18 rating...
So, at least the French John Woo LD Box with Hard Boiled and Bullet in the Head arrived. I am a bit anxious, because running time for Bullet is stated as 132 min on the Backside... to bad I neither understand the original language, not french ... but a t least it is a nice addition in my collection...
