Only one German LD arrived, yet. I don't think it is a 35 mm scanned, because it is from a bigger company..."Alien" Silver Screen release...
So, at least the French John Woo LD Box with Hard Boiled and Bullet in the Head arrived. I am a bit anxious, because running time for Bullet is stated as 132 min on the Backside... to bad I neither understand the original language, not french ...

I missed it on TV, I was too busy switching channels between Predator 2 and Star Wars. What a night for Italian TV yesterday!
Not that bad at all... of course, not at the same level of the original movies, but there are a lot of car chases and funny gags, so... it is "watchable"

Maybe there was such a set overseas? Resurrection was fullscreen on the late unlamented DIVX DVD, but the format was dead before any of the other movies came out on it.

Don't think it's mixed-AR or anything - looks to be straight 2.35 - it's a sub, and alien dialogue has both the English theatrical subs and Japanese subs. I'll upload it but I don't think it'll be of any use.

@FrankT Rice is supposed absorb moisture from electronic equipment such as phones.

Yeah. The font is comparable to the ANH Greedo/Jabba subs, but the lines are longer, and two-liners are common. *One line* fills the letterbox.
