The Criterion edition includes that version...
avatar
Anyone know where I can find the roadshow version of It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World?
avatar
That's a strange music video
avatar
And John Carpenter has a music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJeDQYlpBp0

Oh dear - I have Attention Deficit Creator Disorder.

avatar
Alright, alright, alright.

Ye
avatar
Oh, it's back!
avatar
test
avatar
How?
avatar
Convert it to a lossless codec, lagarith for example
avatar
How do I go about converting a .h264 file for editing?
avatar
I don't have that one either, sorry.
avatar
Well... can I at least get that regraded version?
avatar
Nope
avatar
So... no one has it?
avatar
I do not Frank, sorry.
avatar
Anyone?
avatar
Cool read Wook
avatar
avatar
Does anyone still have that open matte remux of Titanic from a few months ago?
avatar
Because I'm too lazy to change it : D
avatar
Also, why is the shoutbox archive link obscured in a hard-to-read text?
avatar
Hm? I'd hardly call it strange.
avatar
This looks like the sort of book we might want to read? https://www.amazon.com/Thousand-Cuts-Biz...496807731/

I don't have a 70mm but if I were trying to do a 70mm I would use the finest 35 grain possible
avatar
70mm would have a lot less grain then 35mn
avatar
Multiply it by 2 and you're good
avatar
Actually, I might be able to multiply the 35mm grain I have already.
avatar
Anyone got some 70mm film grain I can use?
avatar
Works for me
avatar
is myspleen down?

Deadline today for the National Film Registry nominations for 2016 http://libraryofcongress.polldaddy.com/s...tions-2016
avatar
I haven't checked my Facebook yet but I'll certainly drop him a note there .... totally kinda forgot he's on my friends list. LOL
avatar
Then soon, he'll post a message here on how he is sorry about not posting anything for a long time Smile
avatar
FWIW, I think I saw him post on Facebook the other day
avatar
Haven't heard from Andrea in awhile so I was just commenting that I hope things are okay.
avatar
I'm sorry, what?
avatar
I hope all is well with him.
avatar
Same here.
avatar
No, I'd like to have some news though...
avatar
Anyone hear from Andrea?
avatar
Adieu, adieu, parting is such sweet sorrow
avatar
RIP Gene Wilder
avatar
Good for them! I just wanted to watch it and had a good time in the theatre with my friend. People can hate or love. At the end of the day, they just need to get a life Wink
avatar
Seriously, it's between the Ghostbuster purists and SJWs. No good can come of it at all!
avatar
Oh yes, the movie that sparked the Second American Civil War!
avatar
I've seen the new Ghostbusters yesterday. The only thing I really have to say about it is that the trailers definitely don't make any justice to the movie. Worth a watch at least. IMO it was good. Nothing too fancy, just good. It just doesn't deserve all this hate.
avatar
Nothing
avatar
irc.dejatoons.net on #MySpleen - go there Smile
avatar
Hey guys! Are any of you able to help me out over at myspleen? I can't remember my password and the email address I used when I first signed up is no longer valid. Seems like I've hit a brick wall. Just wondering if anyone here is part of the admin there.
avatar
Any VCR experts around here? http://forum.fanres.com/thread-1040.html
avatar
There's thread about it.,
avatar
I see a True Lies print on ebay for $599
avatar
It's gone, but apperantly I have it downloaded, phew.
avatar
Me not Sad wasn't it up on spleen?
avatar
Anyone has Hard Target Director's Cut Workprint?
avatar
At least the DVD that had English dubbing.
avatar
International transfer from DVD is fine, it's that German LD that's all wrong Tongue
avatar
I guess I could do shot by shot audio sync as well, the 'delay' in some scenes couldn't be possible to hear. And I could to it with both German AND English dubs at same time in Reaper, so maybeee
avatar
also could be that they did not find the complete dubbed version for the LD mastering...
avatar
Well, actually, just two lines of dialogue are left undubbed from that scene.
avatar
maybe it wasn't dubbed, because it was cut from the theatrical release back in days. Also I read somewhere that John Woo wanted it to be removed from the movie, and maybe the international Transfer was cutted that way...
avatar
Yes, they did.
avatar
And, when I am home, I can check the other UK DVDs, if one of it uses the international transfer...
avatar
Did they forgot to dub that scene in the children choir? Because it has German hardsubs on that part.
avatar
Alright, thanks
avatar
I'll upload it tomorrow evening... it is about 1 gB in size and would take about 3-4 hours...
avatar
I guess it won't hurt to try Smile
avatar
If you want to check out, if the german DVD provides some help, I may upload the ripped Version, and if the DVD can be usefull, I can upload a disc rip as soon as I have it at hand.
avatar
Could just put frames with audio from other LD rip in that place, but it could 'sound' odd
avatar
The English dub I have is also from same transfer, so I guess I'll have to find a way somehow to fix these audios Tongue
avatar
Yes it is the same introduction with the fancy "A Better Tomorrow" writing
avatar
I'll check, as soon as I find the rip...
avatar
Is German DVD same International transfer (except missing choir scene)?
avatar
Yeah.. saw it with the "A Better Tomorrow" writing... I think its quite a coole Title font for that movie...
avatar
Found the disc, will upload somewhere and hit you up
avatar
The bottom one is that German LD on YT vid I uploaded Big Grin
avatar
I can check what Intro GErman LD is using.. I think I have some ripped Version on a HDD somerwhere around...
avatar
I'll try to find my disc and if not I'll just redownload from ADC>
avatar
But yeah, I guess I'll just put that German LD capture as extra on the disc, because it's gonna be rather impossible to sync that to BD.
avatar
that ould be nice...
avatar
I can upload it to you on Mega or something.
avatar
UK LD uses same intro as HK.
avatar
somehow I need to get in touch with that festival cut rip of BitH
avatar
seems as if the german LD used the international intro version... I do not know what the UK LD does...
avatar
Overall, I feel pretty young in regards to everyone around here (FanRes) and ADC.
avatar
It's all nice and in sync, just go to bad on the shot of his back Tongue
avatar
thats making me older than you.. I am from 1981 Smile
avatar
And yeah, that German LD is completely some different transfer even - https://youtu.be/S3HJYmWdddA
avatar
I am from 1997 myself, but there's bootleg VHS capture on AsianDVDClub from that cut.
avatar
ah.. no.. too young for seeing the festival cut.. Smile
avatar
This is the "mystical" Festival Cut of John Woo's masterpiece; shown in 1990 during a Film Festival in Finland. Unfortunately deemed for too long and therefore never released! Joy Sales / Fortune Star made an attempt of reconstructing this cut with their DVD release. IMHO they failed! Why? They simply re-inserted some of the deleted scenes in to the theatrical cut
avatar
No, the original festival cut, that one's missing scenes.
avatar
the one on the hong kong remastered DVD release with the reinserted scenes in lower quality?
avatar
Have you seen festival cut of Bullet in the Head?
avatar
Gotta love the censorship, eh?
avatar
the german LD was the only "on disc" Version in GErmany containing the singing child choir... all DVDs missing that scene.
