IMAX Enhanced on Disney+

Classic Raimi Spider-Man 1 has always been in 1.85 as in your photo so that doesn't say much.

I do not have the Bravia TV, a friend sent me the screenshot because he bought it recently.
But yeah, i can try to get some screenshots Smile

I just saw your messages.
What will you do then with the MCU movies? will you just upscale them? Do any of the 12 IMAX movies have less detail than the UHD that make them worth it for a hybrid?
I can inject DV P8 without problems in the mkvs if its necessary.

No, as far as I have seen a hybrid not only isn't possible due to missing frames on the UHD Blu-Ray but it's also blurrier than the IMAX Disney+ copies. So it's not worth a hybrid even if it were possible. Basically the MCU UHD Blu-Rays are just bloated cropped shit with missing frames.
I will simply upscale the Open Mattes (when available) to 4K HDR and under-overlay them to the Disney+ IMAX WEBs for maximum picture.
I did a quick test with Ant Man and the Wasp today and it worked wonderfully. I was super surprised to see that adding the Open matte picture basically makes the entire movie in IMAX ratio. Which makes me question once again why they didn't present/open up the ratio in the entire movie to 1.90:1 in the first place.
I suspect this will be the case for Captain Marvel, Guardians 2 and Doctor Strange and maybe even Iron Man 1 (the only other MCU movies that were released in IMAX that also have an Open Matte version).
Preview Example Below (captures are raw rec. 2020 so ignore the colors)

WOW!
It looks amazing.
Looks like they did not include those shots intentionally...
Iron Man and the other Open Matte releases would be good candidates yes, you would have to overlay the hardcoded russian texts with the webdl if there are. (At least in Iron Man)
Found Guardians of the Galaxy 1 Open Matte and Infinity War and Endgame have a hybrid Open Matte too, even if its full IMAX, maybe it can be expanded a little bit.
Missing frames could be replaced with frames from the IMAX web dl but like you said, if its bloated it is not worth it.
Keep us updated and take your time!

yeah no it's cool I got an IM OM copy without russian text I believe.
Also got the endgame and infinity war Open Mattes too but I didn't bring them up just earlier because I was specifically talking about movies where they could had fully opened up the ratio to 1.90:1 but didn't.
Will merge Open matte and IMAX for IW and Endgame as well of course since the Open mattes for these also have picture IMAX doesn't as we know.
I also have an Open matte for Cap 1 and Iron man 2. So will do these as well. I am slowly working on all Marvel movies actually, including pre-MCU.
Currently I'm still focused on Wizarding World but have just been playing around with Marvel in the background too and prepping sources and doing tests for later.

You are doing an amazing work...
Will you create specific threads for your releases like your incredible Wizarding World one?
It would be cool to see all the progress and changes  Big Grin
Thank you so much.

Yeah, I'll likely create a thread but not before I conclude Wizarding World Smile

If I remember correctly only ASM1 had extra footage in IMAX (mostly during the final scene) but ASM2 had none.
Same for Homecoming which had no extra footage in IMAX although I don't know if the current IMAX Enhanced version has some like they expanded Iron Man ratio
