The added door I think is because originally, they added a light screen to the shot to get Brad Pitt visible.
Then on 8K/4K anyone can see it's an added light screen, whereas on previous media, it looked like a window. So Fincher got it replaced by a digital door, which was the original intent.

No matter the reasoning behind, it's wrong. No matter the original intent, unless it was materialised then, it's not the movie now.

This release is just a stopgap. Once technology improves Fincher will do it all again
