Gotta be honest, the Video Enhancer Super Resolution never really worked for me. I bought it back when it was still shareware, but I could barely tell any difference. Though admittedly I tried it mainly on an animated film, where it might not really work the way it's intended to.
AI is definitely far superior, no doubts. But the downside is that you have to train it on a dataset that closely resembles the thing you want to upscale, which may not always be easy to do.
