desktop PC died. Any advice for building a PC for 4K playback instead of gaming?

Sure, MadVR + MPC-HC is a great combination!

I think the best backup option would be looking at a NAS solution with a RAID arrengement. This way you'll have automatic backup and contingency for unexpected failures.

But call me guilty, I have tons of 4tb external HDs and they're not all backed up. This of course is UHD's fault, I try to make back up muxes of all my movies (suffered too many rots over the years) and I like to include as many original language audio tracks as possible.

Just my Jerry Maguire features:
7.1-Atmos (UHD-BD)
DTS-HD MA 5.1 (UHD-BD)
DTS-HD MA 5.1 (Asian MI4K BD)
DTHD 5.1 (Original BD)
PCM 2.0 (US LD)

And none of these 5.1 tracks feature the exact same mix (even after level match), that's why I'm also looking to get the JP LD for the exclusive AC-3 track.

I guess we can say I'm a bit OCD Smile
