Does anyone happen to know what "Apocalypse Now 1979 2K DCP REMUX JP2K FLAC 5.1-WSPR" is?
Is this really a DCP rip? It's pre-Final Cut restoration, and that's actually why I'm interested if it's a better source than the Blu-Ray. A friend of mine (who's seen countless 35mm screenings of APOCALYPSE NOW) says the older BD master is more representative than the new one.
To me, the biggest issue with the older BD is the lack of grain, but the appearance of the flesh tones and the overall contrast of the image look better to me than the new one (which seems more digitally worked to my eyes).
