Here in europe there was a first heavily censored DVD edition, I guess you already know it, but I thought it's worth mentioning in case there are some alternate takes or the color grading is different (probably not, but who knows).

I did not know this sir. Do you know what country's the censored discs we're released in?
Im from the u.k and all I knew of was the DVD release with 'The Road Warrior' title, and thought that maybe that was the print/disc used through out Region 2 land. It even had multiple languages on the Disc face.

Hi, CS.

When DVD was starting, Warner released some censored versions of some movies, without advertising it in the cover or anywhere. This happened with Mad Max 2, The Last Boy Scout and the Lethal Weapon series (surely there were more).

This Mad Max 2 DVD was authored for germany, which as far as I know have (or had) a thing for censoring decapitations and such, but as it included spanish audio, it was distributed in my country too.

I can provide that DVD. It probably only has cuts and no alternate takes, but if you want to check just in case...

Always figured they all regroup, Max takes the "Lone Wolf" and rides into the sunset for his next adventure.

So looking at the 'Lost Cut' most of the additional material is to cover censored shots.
One of the original conversations was to make an 'extended cut' with all the material available.
I'm now thinking just a preservation of the 'Lost Cut' using as much of the DVD footage as possible.
