On amazon I read very bad reviews of the 2003 remastered version on CD. Some suggest to look for the "import version"

Did you get the right one? There are a few. Gotta "sort by size" and it's one of the biggest ones. Look for the "popularity" of it. Right one has around 186 MB

Nono, it's alright! I got it all! Looks like I'll have to speed it down though, it sounds like it's derived from a PAL format. I am going to need help doing that, though.

Now that I've got it, what am I going to do with it? I'll need to reduce clipping and get rid of the tape drive noise if I can. I'll need advice on how to go about that.

If I were you, I'd just leave it as it is and sync it (In Premiere, slow down and deactivate Pitch compensation). Denoising tends to introduce lots of artifacts. But your choice.
