This thread is the equivalent of tears of joy. Amazing!
I guess my question would be why use two LDs for the Cantonese mono and why have both the digital and analog tracks?

Uhm.. how many different music Track Versions exist for that movie?
I just checked the German DVD, and the german audio Tracks have a different Music when Chow is entering the restaurant and hiding the guns, compared to the Chinese Audio track in that Scene.
But that Music extremy differes from the chinese Audio Track (with the singing) on the chenese Tracks, on the US Anchor Bay DVD.
While the English on the Anchor Bay seems to have the same music, as the german audio Track on the German DVD.

That scene was always different on the export version. They dropped the chinese song and added some synth track in it's place. This is from original release in 1986.

And what's with the some kind of jazz (at least it has some saxophone) music in that scene?
It is neither the Chinese singing, nor the synth track?

There was a rescore made I think for DVD. After much buyers complaints, they removed it and put the original score back in.

Thanks,
Somehow that rescore always flew under my radar, just knowing the original singing and the synth international score...
