A Better Tomorrow - Cinema Polish

Ah, the German DVD seems to contain the same "rescored" Version as the Chinese Track on the UK 'optimum' release.
So I assume it is the one with Tracks from Speed and Forrest Gump?

Yes, as far as I remember. Totally nuts.

Indeed. The original mixes of all the ABT's contained 'Birdy's Flight' by Peter Gabriel from his score to the film Birdy.
I associate it with ABT way more than its original place in Birdy.

Like Mr Brown pointed out.....

It's the optimum release I was referring to with the music cues from Speed and Forest Gump.
I only heard (part of it as I didn't finish!) it earlier this year for the first time buut had heard of it since the DVD release through other internet forums.
The history of the mix is a mystery.

I'm pretty sure there we're 5.1 remixes with a 'revamped' version of the original score also.
If you listen to the released OST it is a re-recording of the tracks. The original recordings are lost, as are the samples used to create it.

Like most HK fare it's Original Mono all the way Smile

I know that piece well, and I tend to sometimes think of it as being 'from' the ABT films due to its iconic placement. But then, I've only seen Birdy a handful of times, as I recall.  Smile

And yep, original mono all the way.

I saw ABT before Birdy and did a spit take.
On the flipside it throws me terribly when the dramatic opening to "City of the Angels" from the To Live and Die in LA soundtrack is repeatedly used in Once a Thief.

Alright, I've managed to make one .lut that seems to work pretty well for whole movie, let me know your opinions. This time no compression artifacts are visible in some scenes as they used to in my previous 'test', as well as no blown out highlights.
