We recently added a new feature to Kodi some of you might like:

Video Versions.

Code:

Video Version is a new Kodi feature introduced in v21. It allows users to keep multiple versions of the same video title in the library.

Do you have the DVD, Bluray, 3D and 4K version of a title? Do you have the Theatrical Release, Director's Cut, Extended version or any other type of version for the same title? Do you dislike the same title being repeatedly listed in the library?

All these different formats and versions can be attached to a parent title in the library. Think of it as Movie Sets for the same movie.

This feature works on the movie library and may be expanded to TV shows and episodes in a later release of Kodi.

I might be late to the party on this but I'm now getting 44.1khz passthrough from the Shield. Previously 44.1khz tracks were always resampled to 48hkz and I was under the impression this was an Android limitation and the only way round it involved a USB DAC. Anyway very recently something caused all my audio settings to get reset within Kodi and after changing them back, I'm getting 44.1khz to my AVR. Happy days!

Sometime last year there was a firmware update that allowed it.

I didn't realize this wasn't natively supported by Kodi, it always just worked when using Jellyfin. Good to see!
