[Released] Terminator 2 CDS mix
Come on, it's the only mix that make T2 look and sound like the T1 we love! (Though of course I prefer the CDS).

That was my thought, but never heard anyone confirm it

I think it's more likely based of the Dolby Stereo SR mix, a discrete version of that would also be cool to see.

I think the US AC3 Laserdisc sounds the closest to that experience.

1998 AC-3 LD (with TriStar Pictures Logo)?

On top of the already not great volume the AC-3 compression is very audible despite the fact it's frequency cut-off isn't that much worse than the CDS mix on the JP DVD. Lastly the LFE is just pitiful, very little activity with no volume to boot which sucks for a movie like T2. It's overall a very mediocre track to me, the JP DVD packs a much greater punch that this ever could. Do note I had to decode this with BeSync and there's always a possibility the capture I got is faulty but considering the rest of the stuff I've gotten from this guy (david49120) is good I'm fairly certain this is accurate.

Once again will have to admit I was wrong here, the export produced by syncing software somehow messed with the levels and compressed them. Working on a new export and will update my analysis soon.

That is the one.

That whole disc needs to be archived, and both squeeze discs (first one is the good one I will die on that hill)

Goes without saying since we already know this but neither of these are the CDS mix, I had assumed it was and even said so in the shoutbox to someone but I will admit upfront I got this one wrong. I'll start with the PCM, I actually don't mind it too much all things considered. It has more bass than the theatrical stereo does and sounds nice. I still prefer the Theatrical stereo from the original LD but this track is more than fine for a remix.
Quick question:
The rutracker 35mm scan comes with a PCM audio ripped from a LD (LD68952-2DD). According to lddb, released in 1991. Is it the one you mean?
(The PCM one included in the rutracker scan doesn't sound right, IMO).

LD68952-2DD was released in 98

Have you tried this ?

Ooops, my bad. Yeah, there are other LD69852 that were released in '91, but that 2DD is from '98.

Yeah, I do have the izzybell rip (this one is nice). I even fixed the glitch in the audio (bar scene, 7min 18sec), 60ms missing.
