Interesting. Sometimes there's even a bit more on the sides (1st comparison), but most of the time there's more on the sides on the Blu-ray. Also, the geometry seems different on Sarah's face in the Tech-Noir.

Nice! I'm thinking of doing an extended edition at some point in the future, probably next year, and I'm planning on doing it with the original closing credits (i.e. without that annoying Harlan Ellison credit which even James Cameron was against).

Done the same (including removing the cinemax logo without re-code) when the open matte first went out in the wild but used both the PCM 1.0 and 2.0 and Bluray DTS-HD MA 5.1 from the Team-Blu release. From what I remember had to add / remove a few frames around the film logos using smart rendering in Videoredo to get it frame matched to the team blu so everything was in sync. If you don't mind me asking, how did you sync the audio, like I did or did you use waveform in audacity or similar (the correct way which I am still a novice). Also, prefer the color-timing on the WEB-DL which is less blanket teal compared to the Bluray.
Update: it was actually HBO logo, not Cinemax at the beginning.

It might be due to compression or conversion. However, I don't see a difference with the teal, they look identical to me. I might be wrong on this stuff though.
AKA thxita on OriginalTrilogy
I preserve movies as they first appeared in Italy.

I read about the color-timing being less teal on the Open Matte somewhere on here or another forum and am sure it has slightly less teal than the Bluray based on what I remember of the restored bluray. I have two copies of the Bluray of Terminator, the UK Steelbook and which is still sealed and my other opened Amaray copy i can't find at the moment so can't be sure. Only one I have to hand is the Team-Blu and obviously the color timing on that is completely different. Then again I thought the same about Top Gun Open Matte not having the horrible golden yellow the 3D bluray exhibits and someone else told me its the same, but on that occasion I had both at hand and I am definitely correct, I added in the English intro text and uncropped location text into the WEB-DL and it's pretty obvious the intro text is yellow (Bluray) compared to the white text of the remainder of the credits (WEB-DL) along with the strong golden hue of the location inserts.

So would you say this AR is the same as that old German DVD with the 1.66 AR (as well as teal color timing, though not as pronounced as the current Blu)?
