Look the same to me it's still the old master from 20 years ago with clipped whites everywhere.

There's a slight increase, but this is still the same master.

Hoping they remaster it one day before we are all dead LOL

I also managed to get the Abyss of 1989 in better quality than they were before.

The Starz Open Matte Webrip of True Lies is indeed a remastered transfer (Reliance MediaWorks did a 4k Scan of the OCN) The thing that sucks about it is that the Starz logo pops up from time to time in the image.

The STARZ open matte does not look like a 4k remaster of the OCN. It looks just the same as the usual ancient master but with the mattes opened up. Where did you get that info.

Yes it's the same stuff. You can matte it to erase the logo, you'll get something like the 70mm copies.

On HDBits, the very first movie distribution of the true lie was in 2006, it was HDTV 1080i Open Matte without logos, the quality is a little worse. STARZ

my bad! I thought that the Open STARZ Open Matte was a new transfer simply because the bitrate was a lot better than the 1080i Capture that was circulating around the internet since 2006.

But Reliance MediaWorks really did a 4K scan of the OCN (I've seen clips of it in their Demo Reel that was posted back in 2014 to vimeo)

Here is the link to their demo reel (skip to 1:37 seconds to see the remaster shots) https://vimeo.com/95919913

The Reliance MediaWorks clip is not color timed, it's low contrast. I'm wondering if all they did was a scan, and no color timing as been done since they did it.
