Is region coding an issue when ripping Blu-rays?
I am considering buying one to rip audio tracks (mostly original mixes) and archiving them for project use. But I have a mix of Region A and B (mostly the latter) discs.

No it isn't unless you're burning it back to BD-R. Just use MakeMKV (free) to read the disc.

I think, if you have the tools to rip a BluRay, you also have the tools of ignoring any RegionCoding. Either that, or the tools just ignore the RegionCoding.

I have a Pioneer, and am very satisfied...
Before that I had a Sony, that was good, also.
The Pioneer does not need additional power supply, except when plugging to a cell phone...
