Hi,
I would like to know more about HDR, is it an extension in a video file, which can be easily removed or added?
And if my devices are incompatible, they simply ignore this extension?

HDR is apart of the video file, there is no removing it just converting it to SDR.

It's probably possible to remove the HDR metadata from a video file but without it the video will appear washed out and colourless. The only way to get a watchable result would be a proper HDR > SDR conversion.

If it is possible to remove it, it's theoretically possible to add it without re-encoding the video? ( I would like to make an HDR extension without recoding)
Are you sure we can't remove it?
