Thanks for the input, PDB.
I might just leave it how it is and release it, as I'm also satisfied with how it looks. The shots that I had in mind (from the teaser that appeared post-credits in the Japanese release of Twin Dragons) don't look drastically different from what I came up with.
Have been splitting my time between this and my buddy's 'First Strike' restoration (that one will take some time as I think we're going to test a different approach).

The author has not appeared on the forum for a long time, my message has not been read to him.
If someone received this project, could you share with me?
Thank.

Not to necrobump, but after 'Twin Dragons' is ready to go (soon!) I'll have a revision of this one with improved sync for all audio tracks and a better quality source of the English dub. The original dub was something I've wanted to add for a while but I'd all but thought I'd never get it in better quality.

From what I know of HKRs release, we have different audio options and different approach to the colours. Both authentic in their own right.
After Twin Dragons breathes a little I'll do something with my revision.

Hi Serums!
Having recently watched both the Kam and Ronson 4k BD and HKR version, I'm very much interested in what you're cooking up here.
Of course black level and colors are a mess on K&R BD, but after reading the reviews, the HKR was a big let down as well. Color timing is very inconsistent. A lot of scenes, about half of it I'd say, looks fantastic, with great saturation, proper blacks and very pleasing colors, but all of sudden it becomes yellow/green again and raised blacks. It varies shot to shot on each given scene.
It drove me nuts to the point I'd rather perform a custom set on the display to watch K&R version all the way through. The audio tracks on HKR fare much better so I ended up making a custom mixing both of them.
Has there been any progress on this project and did you get a hold of a better audio tracks?
As I said, I have both releases and if you need any of these tracks I'd be glad to help. Also, the video on the K&R BD is much supeirior to the Japanese BD, with better framing as well. So if you need that too, just let me know.
