[Idea] How to revive a clicking faulty HDD!
#11
I change my HDD about every 5 to 7 years. Though I have a couple for archival that are now about 10 years old.

If you get external ones, make sure they are the one without fused connection, meaning if the connection give up, you can break the box and use the hard drive with a dock. I resold all my 2TB that I discovered were fused, and got 4tb ones in their place.

When it comes to 4tb or bigger, you have some refurbished sales regulary on amazon, where the price is really down up to 50%. You can resend it back for a full month in case you end up with a weird one, so it's good service.
