Death Machine 1994 Looking for right color grading

Well, as a big fan of this film and someone who grew up watching the UK VHS and UK DVD, I was a bit shocked when I first saw the longer Turbine cut, the opening 15 mins feel like a rough assembly rather than a refined cut. Putting aside the obviously low budget, Death Machine really does feel ahead of its time just in terms of how well cut it is, some of the action sequences later in the film are so intricately cut that I'm still astounded as to how this was 'built' in the pre-digital analogue days? So to have 75% of a film being this perfectly cut... thing, but the first 15 mins are now this flatly paced sequence with long laboured lead ins and lead outs of shots and with painfully bad line readings from the sheriff and a completely missing music cue when the Sam Raimi character approaches the truck... well, it just annoys me because I know there's a better version out there that's languishing in non-anamorphic DVD hell.

I think you need to watch both versions side by side to truly appreciate how different both versions are in the first 15 mins. And I feel I should point out that the UK DVD has an obvious cigarette burn right before the two versions sync up, so my personal assumption is that whoever supplied Turbine with the print for use didn’t have access to the 1st reel of the approved (unconfirmed) Director’s Cut.

We're all film fanatics here, I'm sure we all have our own random major annoyance with some random cut of a film that other users might find baffling - this is my random annoyance that keeps me up at night! lol.
