[Released] Dune (1984) - 70mm Mix ['98 Universal DVD 5.1] synced to Koch 4K Master

Dune was released in 70mm during it's original theatrical release with a 6-Track Dolby Stereo Mix

"The 70mm prints of “Dune” featured magnetic Six-Track Dolby Stereo (“A” encoded Baby Boom format [Dolby processor setting “42”]) and 2.20:1 imagery blown up from anamorphic 35mm and provided a superior projection and sound experience in comparison to the film’s 35mm prints."

In my research, I found evidence that the 5.1 track on 1998 Universal DVD had duped mono surrounds as well as matrixing in the spectrogram. Referencing with other 70mm mixes from around the same time seems to make a strong case for this being the 70mm 6-Track mix. This mix noticeably has less distortion in the surround channels and slightly cleaner dialogue than the modern 5.1 mix. 

This track is available in FLAC 5.1, it syncs to the Koch 4K master (Arrow US/GBR BD, Koch DEBD/4K). If you need the audio in any other format feel free to state in the PM. Freely available to any account new and old.

I've seen the 70mm print a couple of times in London over the last few years

One of the biggest differences i found was that Virginia Madsen's voice at the beginning was a lot boomier with a bit of bass attached to it
