Added: Money (L'Argent, 1928)

Source: Flicker Alley BD

Includes
- Around Money (Autour de L'Argent, 1928)
With optional reduced subtitles. The commentary is mostly redundant; the complete subtitles distract from the visuals.

- Prometheus... Banker (Prométhée... banquier, 1921)

Available as 60fps MKV and 1080i BD

Added: Alice Guy Blaché, Vol. 1: The Gaumont Years (1897-1907)

Source: Kino BD

Notes:
- Removed interpolated frames
- The Trottins Polka - Improved sync, but could be better still. Anyone up for a small sync challenge? This has variable frame rate, jump splices, and a performer who didn't know all the words.
- In a Bamboo Hut - Improved sync. Deleting duplicate frames also improved the broken stabilization.
- The Birth, Life, and Death of Christ - Fixed editing errors (large sections repeated).

Omitted:
- A Sticky Woman - Already interlaced. And an upscale. It's fine.
- At the Cafe - Terrible processing. Picture was scrubbed to death.
- On the Barricade - Terrible processing. The people who "restored" these two should be fired.

Available as 60fps MKVs and a 1080i BD. Blanks, postage, and proof of purchase required.

I'm up to try such a (sync) challenge for this mere two minute film, but I'm guessing I don't have the same software you do or that you wish people to use. But maybe I'm wrong?  Can you provide info on that so we can see...?

Updated: The Trottins Polka (1905)

WXM took me up on the sync challenge, so now the short has pretty good sync, much improved from the BD.

Available from me as a 60fps MKV and 1080i M2TS, and from WXM. He put in a lot of work on this, and would be thrilled to share it.

Public domain.

I own the Eureka 1-disc UK Blu-ray of the 2010 restored version of Metropolis (1927) and would love it if you could make 60fps MKV and 1080i BD versions of this restoration in both English (from the Kino Lorber Blu-ray) and German intertitle versions.

No need. Metropolis runs at 24fps, at least on Kino's; I expect Eureka's to be the same. The only thing encoding to 60fps would do is add 3:2 pulldown, which TVs can do automatically, if you want that.

For the non BD-compliant version, wouldn't it be better to make a VFR mkv ? Or would that just be more difficult (personally, anything frame-rate telated is a PITA Wink)
