Great ideas guys, this place is growing all the time at almost 300 users now! With more projects that will see the light of day, keeping this place tight & secure is the number 1 thing.
By now, people that we know from the OT should have made it here by now (or so you would think) so yes i think newcomers need to earn it.

I agree and just hope that this doesn't discourage any of the noobs from being a part of everything.

To the "noobs:" We welcome ANY of your comments (as long as they are on-topic and not spam) I was one of "you" not long ago and although I have worked on some projects and have been getting better at techniques, still learn new stuff all the time. A lot of it from some of the "guru's" on this site. People here are pretty friendly and helpful so don't be shy but please be polite and patient as we all have lives outside of this forum

For the record: two new OT users joined us today, and I think some (many?) others will sign up in the future... the fact is, we are very good to hide between the net threads!

The spam is really out of control. I just checked some of the most recently registered users, and 15 of them were spam bots.

You also may have noticed a decrease in our members a day or two ago - that was me pruning old banned accounts...

You have made a good job - purge'em all, we don't need useless spammers here! (by the way, there are no useful spammers, but the phrase sounded good!)

I despise spambots ...... glad to see they are actively being pursued here. As for the post count idea before seeing other sections, I think it should be higher. At least 15 posts, 20 would be desireable imho anyways .... it makes folks work if they really are sincere about being a member here.
