Smilebox Effect?

Getting there slowly, using both lens distortion negative and corner pin to bring in the sides but still not perfect.

Only problem using both curvature and pin cushion makes sides (vertical) concave as well when zoomed out and which can be seen in certain scenes (straight lines) when zoomed in to remove it. Anyone know a way to straighten the sides so only horizontal is concave and vertical is straight like in cinerama trailer:

If you look at the caps for HTWWW there is quite a bit of overscan on the Smilebox presentation vs. the letterboxed version.

If you're familiar with avisynth you can try this filter, I'm getting pretty good results and it can be set to only distort the one axis (so no overscan):

Anything like that in Premiere. Even a plug-in. Not proficient with avisynth, though used it a couple of times many years ago so could learn but easier with Premiere.

Worked out you can do horizontal bulge without vertical cropping/bulging using Warp in AE. Testing now.
