The best of all is "apt-x100-0.3.4" it produces almost identical wave for surrounds and LFE as Cinema DTS-6AD theatrical hardware decoder.

Thanks for the information. How about the surround channels though? As far as I remember, the surrounds have to be attenuated by 3dB, correct? Is that taken into around already by that version?

The LFE however I guess has always to be treated manually to whether boost it or not depending on the release date as unfortunately, there was never a flag for that. A reconstruction's nightmare: not to know how to interpret things.

As for Armageddon itself - I also think we already had a discussion about the mix. For some reason, many here call it out to be impressive. However, dynamic-wise I'd claim the contrary as especially the center channel is very loud most of the time which is the opposite of being highly dynamic, for instance compared to "Mission Impossible" or "Air Force One", my personal reference mixes.

I had hoped that the LD DTS would be better which however was unlikely to begin with, given that any Cinema DTS should (!) be the least compromised mix of all when in doubt.
