Some of you may have heard that Slysoft has closed and that AnyDVD will not get any more updates. The last version is 7.6.9.
I didn't realise that many Blu-rays require access to an online database. Fortunately the database server is still online, but it's only a matter of time before it disappears. AnyDVD saves a copy of the keys locally, so I've backed up my database of 55 keys and will be able to decrypt all my titles indefinitely.
It's probably a good idea for everyone to download their keys and make a backup while the server is still online. There are a couple of things you need to do:

It's probably a good idea for everyone to download their keys and make a backup while the server is still online. There are a couple of things you need to do:
- Slysoft is no longer "advertising" the key server so you need to add the line "188.165.210.62 key.slysoft.com" to C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
- You then need to systematically insert each disc, one after another, until AnyDVD completes its initial scan (you do not need to actually rip the disc!)
- For each title that requires the database, a file will be added to %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\SlySoft\AnyDVD\Cache - make a backup of this folder once complete.
Hopefully that's easy enough to follow and helps all the AnyDVD users out there
