So...I finally plugged up my old CRT/DVD recorder combo because I got fed up with upscaling. The 960 is better running composite than the Qdeo upscaler in my Onkyo receiver. But it is still processing inherently to convert the signal and made me miss my old set.
But I quickly remembered the old set's problem now, the fact that any object's motion causes slight combing artifacts around the entire edge of the object. This occurs on any source whether straight composite or via the recorder's component out. I tried to get a picture but it doesn't pick up. It is most noticeable on people, objects and the twin dots rolling during the opening gunbarrels. I'm thinking it's either the KV-32fs320s lesser 2d comb filter or SVM or its advertised digital edge whatever processing.
Anybody ever come across this?
And yes...I literally have two CRTs going side by side....I officially need help....
