A Nightmare On Elm Street - Film Collection
#1
I'm looking to purchase the entire series, but was curious as to what people's opinions were on various releases of the collection that may, in the end, influence which set I purchase. I am trying to decide on one of the following...

The 2013 Bluray Set - http://www.amazon.com/Nightmare-Street-C...PDKIKX0DER
I want this because I want the higher resolution of BD as well as the HD audio... But as far as the visual presentation of the packaging goes, there's nothing too terribly special about it

And...

The 1999 New Line Platinum Series DVD Box Set - http://www.amazon.com/Nightmare-Street-C...H2TCQSQNYB
Admittedly, the main reason I want to buy this one is because it'll look damn good on my shelf. A buddy of mine bought this years ago and the presentation of the set is very nice with good extras.

Go with the Blu-ray box set. I own it. The transfers are solid making each film the best home video release there is.

Part 2 Blu-ray needs a color correction. It's way too bright

I'm afraid that spamming with 5 threads, all from the "can someone do this" category isn't the right way to go about this.

What is the right way to go about this then?

You can make a thread (ONE) with information about what's wrong with this release, preferably with screenshots, and hope that someone decides to fix it (low chance for that).

You can do your research about the basics of video editing and try to fix it yourself, learning as you go, and ask for help when you get stuck - it takes a long time, but if you really care about this, you will finish eventually.

Directly asking "can you pour their precious free time into this, because I don't know how/I'm lazy" is rude. And making new threads after I locked previous ones about the same topic is even more rude.
