Is there any good way to correct brickwalled audio tracks? You know when it's so loud as to go beyond the dynamic range of the encoding?

Honestly, that's kinda like wanting to get 1080p resolution from a VHSrip...

Nope there is a sofware which rebuilds the clipped portions peaks, and restore DR forgot the name. Google for it.

Audacity can do it for free or Adobe Audition if you want to lean toward a professional tool.

Software can help at times, but nothing will ever truly fix something that has been set at those levels. That information is gone and the only solution is to go back to the source or find an alternate that is without the compression limiting.

I usually use a plugin called Perfect Declipper for brickwalled audio.

Actually, looking at it now, I think that my audio is not correctly de-emphasized. Is there any sort of tool that is able to deal with that?
