the best comment regarding the thing 2011 prequel/remake, as in missed opportunity to make something original that expands the story, I've heard on recent Junkfood Cinema podcast: what if the prequel was "a la Sorcerer" story of how each of the men on Outpost 31 came to the job there. Now, that's a pitch!.

That really stinks, @alexp120 ! If it weren't for COVID, I would've seen a Joe Hisaishi/Ghibli concert by now. As it is, it's been postponed to the same time next year. But who knows what'll happen by then?

@pipefan413 thanks for that! I got asked to help with a bonus feature for an upcoming release, it's clips from the Korean version of an old kung fu film (exclusive footage). There's about 2 minutes of dialogue dubbed in Korean, it's a VHS rip though so it's a bit noisy.
@Serums I'm most definitely not a Korean speaker but I managed to very slowly re-translate the Korean section of Snowpiercer to English so I may or may not be able to help depending on why you're asking

Can anybody guide me to a guide for capturing AC3 sound? I've got a player, RF modulator, and the ability to record bit-perfect audio... but I can't figure out how to convert the 48/16 WAV to AC3. Any help would be amazing.
I really don't have any desire to be unkind but as far as I can see, @DMX, your entire contribution so far has been to say "hi" twice in the Shoutbox and ignore the site's rules and common courtesy by making your one and only post on the forum a request to have a download link sent to you, despite the project maker explicitly stating in the thread that they would only be sharing with active members of the forum, and somebody else being recently banned for similar behaviour in the very same thread.
Is it a good idea to be giving full names of private trackers on the front page of a public forum?
Guys; this is driving me nuts. What's the name of that private tracker site? It has a forum with a black skin and green logo? I can't find it in my history and it's driving me up the wall trying to remember.

The Armageddon VCD is a bootleg which uses the VHS screener as its source. You get the warning go across the screen at the bottom during the film. You can imagine what the quality is like haha. The Mission Impossible 2 disc should be interesting as that had changed when it arrived on home video IIRC
Picked up a bag of VCD's today off Freecycle. Mostly 90's films. Some look suspect but some look legit. If there is any interest, happy to create a thread and back them up to my google drive if anyone wants a copy
My laserdisc player woes continue as I've completing given up on the Sony player working consistently for bit-perfect recording. I now have a Panasonic with RF Out and a AC-3 demodulator coming. Looking forward to ripping everything in sight.
The current episode has Criterion's Lee Kline, talking about film restoration, even a tiny bit about the borrowing Scorsese and Taratino's 35mm prints of the Great Escape to help with that restoration.

So, Jurassic Park, The Matrix, Aladdin, etc. etc. Do they have a name or anything? the only username or whatever that I've seen explicitly tagged anywhere is on the Raiders of the Lost Ark scan which is attributed to litemakr... but for all I know that could be because that one scan is from litemakr and it's tagged that way because none of the others are
