I just use MPC-HC to create the thumbnail.

Why in the hell is there a Russian sub right there? There's nothing in a foreign language there!

I'm actually glad there are no English subs on the Spanish parts. Bummer for you in the US, better for us abroad.

Yea, noticed you use MPC-HC, soon as I posted. Will use MPC-BE for mine which is the same.

Yea, the Russian sub is a strange one, considering its the only one.

Doesn't seem to be an upscale of the HD master, as the opening Fox logo is different, the framing is different, showing less on the left and more on the right, it seems. Plus the absence of English burnt-in subs on Spanish parts inside Esperanza's plane. As for color timing, it's different again.

These rips I always use CQ16, two pass not needed.

I can't wait to see that DH3 in motion for myself. These aren't exactly the shots I have in mind regarding the 35mm print I saw and took pictures from. Except the one in the Fed's van. Overall, it seems to look better than the Blu-ray but not as drastic a change in colors as I was expecting it to be.
