Hi everyone!

I've seen here a lot of praise for this software regarding HDR tonemapping. I've installed it and so on and so on, but when I clicked on "Start", it shows this error message over again:

Are the file pathes all correct?
Maybe you need to recheck some of the filepathes.

^^ Yes, it's a file-path issue, but as you are using a GUI (RipBot) I don't imagine that you are typing the file-paths yourself. I don't use RipBot, but maybe there's a section in the settings where you have to point the program to the locations of the various tools that it uses, such as MKVToolNix. Having things installed on your desktop might not be the best idea.

I've checked it and everything seems to be fine. Mkvmerge and ffmpeg are there. I don't see anything wrong.
By the way, there's a tab in the settings tab called "Tools", but there's no way to select any path.

I'd try uninstalling RipBot, deleting the folder and anything left behind, and reinstalling the latest version to its default location. Then try again.

I've already done that, but it doesn't work either. BTW, what do you mean by "default location"? You just have to unfold the compressed .7z file wherever you want, so it doesn't really matter, does it?

With Windows 7 and up it started to matter. Some tools need Access to files in their own folder, and Windows System prohibits some access on the System drive.
Try unzipping it to a folderron a different drive.

I assumed that there was an installer, but now I see that only a portable version is available. For the rest, see what MrBrown said.

I tried that and now it seems to work, thank you! One more thing, is there a way to change "technical" settings like sao, psy-rd, rdoq, aq strength, bframes, rc lookahead and so on? The only thing I see is CRF.

Okay, nevermind, I've just figured that out. But I have one last question: I don't know if you get the same result but, while downscaling any 4K file to 1080p and looking at the preview script, the PQ is always blurry, I don't know why. When I was searching for a solution, I found out this command (idk if it's relevant or not): -sws_flags lanczos. How do you do to fix blurring when downscaling 4K to 1080p?

P.S.: Which other tools, aside from Ripbot264, do you use for tonemapping UHDs to UHD BDs?
