Hello random.next,
long time ago you considered doing Watchmen (Director's Cut) in Open matte combining Blu-ray with Web-Dl OM
Out of curiosity, are you still planning on doing it and would you keep the frames with special effects cropped or with the black bars on top and bottom?

Another one I would love to see is a Judgement Night Open Matte hybrid combining both WAC blu-ray and Goodtimes Open Matte dvd (quality not brilliant but I’ve seen Random manage it with other ropey sources) but not sure it would work alignment wise due to been totally different transfers.

Best way would be to use a smart renderer like VideoRedo so outside the edit points no re-encoding necessary.

It's truly a night and day difference between the three transfers, because the Goodtimes DVD came out in Early 1998, and the Universal DVD came out in 2003-2004.

I made a post two years ago seeing if anyone could Attach the Universal Logo to the WAC Blu-Ray since they removed it on the Remastered version so I could sync the Dolby 2.0 Mix from the Goodtimes DVD, the DTS 5.1 mix from the Universal DVD, and the English AC3 5.1, the Spanish Dolby 2.0 Mix, and the French Dolby 5.1 mixes from the Universal DVD.

Shame even the STARZ one was 2.35:1, obviously no HD transfer of the Open Matte one exists.

There was an Open matte Version that aired on Universal HD way back in 2006-2008. I remember reading about it on a forum a long time ago.

I believe that it was true HD in 1080i.

I don't have a bluebird account, but I'm really looking forward to both Arrival and Blade Runner UHD, they are two of my all-time favorite movies, and I'm a big fan of open matte releases. Thank you random.next for your work to create such high quality releases! From your list in the first post, I think I've seen a few of your other releases.

I do have one question, would you mind confirming the file size for Arrival? I found one source so far but it's not the source I prefer, I think they might have added extra audio tracks, even if they didn't rename it. Of course I could always remux it and remove tracks I don't want, but it's extra download time/bandwidth, and I always like to see the original release by the creator. For those of us hunting for your releases, it would be nice to see a bit more information about them. As a side note, I don't know if nfo files were ever included in your releases, but if they were, they are never included on the torrents, and having those would be nice.
