[Released] Ghostbusters & Ghostbusters II - 1999 DVD 5.1 Tracks synced to 4K Master(s)

It's pretty common knowledge (i think) that the first DVD releases of the Ghostbusters films contained 5.1 tracks that were re-purposings of the films original Dolby Stereo mixes now in discrete 5.1 format. I have acquired copies of these DVDs and synced the 5.1 tracks up to each films' respective 4K master, these should work on just about any release of them (the Mastered in 4K BDs, 2016 UHD, DoVi UHD). Available in 16-bit 48kHz FLAC 5.1, for all forum members new and old

Notes about Ghostbusters II: I sadly was only able to obtain a dupe DVD of this one where the English 5.1 track was reduced to 384kbps instead of the full 448kbps, if anyone here has a full bitrate copy of this track I'll gladly resync. I checked the DD 5.1 Backup track on the UHD and while it did have mono surrounds, After further A/B testing I found that it was just a downmix of the Dolby Atmos track due to the SFXs being synced differently than the Stereo track (also thank Bobby Brown since "On Our Own" was also mixed differently on the Atmos). I was also planning on syncing the Laserdisc stereo but one of the sides of the capture I had was off-balanced, the track only sounded slightly better than the UHD stereo anyways.

A russian tracker seems to have GB2 with english 448kbps track - upload year 2009.

What about the hdtv version? I think it uses dvd audio also. Same remix?

I finally have more information on the Ghostbusters II situation. thanks to @nickxcom , I have been able to confirm that the 1999 DVD is actually 384kbps and that Blu-Ray.com was incorrect in reporting that it was 448kbps. Nick also found out that the DVD and UHD didn't require any syncing to each other. The Rutracker one I synced and the 1999 DVD proper are the same mix but some of the levels are different. I will be removing my sync from further circulation.

The rear channels bizarrely has a reverb effect. I’m pretty sure Sony did this on purpose to make the surround channels more stereo. That’s only from the first movie if I know.

I just recently bought the Japanese Superbit DVD Twin Pack, meaning that it should have the same mixes but with an additional DTS mix.

Also, I should mention that on the second film, the rear channels are extremely muffled, and I felt like this is Sony’s doing because I do remember hearing the same issue on the UK Superbit DVD of The Dark Crystal, where the DTS mix seems to be based on the first 5.1 DVD mix.

The 2005 DVD mixes are identical, except the second movie no longer has the muffled effect on the rear channels.

The 2009 Blu-ray mixes are in fact a remix and not a compatible version of the 70mm mix like the DVDs.

Since the Superbit DVDs came out in 2004, I dunno if it uses the 1999 DVD masters and audio mix or the foreshadowed 2005 DVD masters and mix. Maybe that could be the reason why Ghostbusters I and II never got Superbit releases in the US.

Could you send me those Superbit mixes? I'm curious about the first film in particular.
