So I found in a bargain bin the second Predator NTSC disc, the one with the DTS track, for 50 cents.
PREDATOR
R1 America - Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment
DTS Widescreen
Extras:Theatrical Trailer
Subtitles:English and Spanish
Aspect Ratio:1.85:1
Picture Format: Anamorphic
TV System: NTSC
Soundtrack(s):English DTS 5.1
English Dolby Digital 5.1
English Dolby Digital 2.0
French Dolby Digital 2.0
Case type:Keep Case
I took it home, and was listening to the DTS track, and I'm wondering if this hard-hitting track is not a unique version of the English Dolby Digital 4.0 we can find in DD on the Blu-ray discs, and on the 4K in DTS-HD.
The middle mini-gun scene (the moment where they erase part of the jungle trying to nail the Predator) sounds unlike the 5.1 remix and close to the original Dolby Surround, or that 4.0 track. The difference is, there is lfe on it apparently.
Could anyone who also owns this disc check the soundwaves for differences? Thank you.
