Try dropping the brightness a bit. The blacks on that disc are also muddy! It should have deep blacks.
it will help with some of the compression noise also.

Is this a case of the restoration being bad, or the conversion to Home Video formats?
Do these guys handle this side of things, or does the distributor just take delivery on a 4K master to do there thing with?

Fist of Fury - 4K Remaster

Is this Fist of Fury the one we Yanks tend to call The Chinese Connection, or is it the one originally called The Big Boss?

Yeah, it's The Chinese Connection, I didn't even knew it's called like that in US.

Apparently, The Big Boss was originally supposed to be called The Chinese Connection here, in reference to 20th Century-Fox's then-recent drug smuggling thriller The French Connection, but somehow the distributors managed to get the title flip-flopped with that of Fist of Fury.

So I decided to just go with my gut on ABT remaster, here are the results.

I'll propably make full custom Bluray out of this regrade, this still needs to be slightly filtered, since some compression artifacts popped out during regrade, but it is still superior to muddy colors on original Bluray in my taste, let me know your opinions.

The regrade looks good, Colek. Like CSchmidlapp said, you should probably lower the black levels. The skin tones look a little blue-ish to me.

As for the Bruce Lee films, Shout Factory is supposed to have 'corrected' the colour timing of the 4k remasters in their latest re-releases.
